The most hypocritical readers of my nation

Suspicion:  The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said : Most of the hypocrites of my nation recite it. You are the hypocrites because you are  the people who recite the Qur’an the most . Response: The scholars differed in their ruling on this hadith, between authenticated and weak. The hadith is found in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad and at al-Tabarani and others. Among the authenticators of this hadith is Imam al-Albani, as in al-Silsilah al-Sahihah and Sahih al-Jami’. Is there a difference between the sentence “My nation’s most readers are hypocrites” and the second sentence “My nation’s readers are most hypocrites?” If we said that the nation of Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, is 100 people, 10 of whom are hypocrites, and the majority of the hypocrites out of these ten are reciters, would we say that the majority of Muhammad’s nation are hypocrites because many of them are reciters? This understanding is strange . On the other hand, this hadith applies to those who read the Qur’an from the deviant sects, such as the Qabari Sufis, the Shiites, and the Kharijites. Shiite scholars, for example ,  when they read the Qur’an with clear hypocrisy in order to distort its meanings. Also, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said :  There will emerge among you a people who will despise your prayers with their prayers and your fasting with theirs. And your work is in addition to their work. They recite the Qur’an but it does not go beyond their throats. They leave the religion just as an arrow leaves the target. The archer looks at the blade and sees nothing. He looks at the cup but sees nothing. He looks at the feathers but sees nothing. He wonders whether there is any blood stuck to it . Sahih Al-Jami’  8053 . Conclusion  :  We do not forget to point out the words of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on this issue due to its greatness. He said  :  When God Almighty descends to His servants on the Day of Resurrection to judge between them, and every nation is kneeling,  the first to call upon Him will be a man who collected the Qur’an , a man who was killed in the name of God, and a man. A lot of money,  so God says to the reader: Did I not teach you what I revealed to my Messenger? He said: Yes, Lord. He said: So what did you do with what you learned? He said: I used to do it during the night and during the day, and God would say to him: You lied, and the angels would say: You lied, and God would say to him: Rather, I wanted it to be said: So-and-so is a reader, and that was said .  Then the owner of the money will be brought, and God will say: Did I not be generous to you until I did not leave you in need of anyone? He said: Yes, Lord. He said: So what did you do with what I gave you? He said: I used to maintain ties of kinship and give alms, and God would say to him: You lied. The angels say to him: You lied, and God says: Rather, you wanted it to be said: So-and-so is generous, and that has been said. The one who was killed in the name of God will be brought, and God will say to him  :  What did you kill? He says: I was commanded to fight in your cause, so I fought until I was killed. So God says to him  :  You lied, and the angels say to him: You lied, and God says: Rather, you wanted it to be said: So-and-so was bold, and that was said. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, hit my knees and said: O Abu Hurairah  :  These three are the first of God’s creation to be ignited by Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, and in Sahih Muslim there is a hadith with the same meaning. 

Since the Sunnis are the transmitters of the Qur’an, it is impossible for God to make the transmitters of the Qur’an hypocrites. We should not forget that hypocrisy is the worst type of disbelief, so it is more appropriate for this characteristic to be found in others in general.
